About the Artist
Dave has worked as an Embryologist at Mayo Clinic since 1993. Infertility care and fertility preservation for young cancer patients has been his passion for over 3 decades. In addition to his love for his work, Dave also has a creative side and especially enjoys drawing. Dave’s collection of flower bouquets are a recent discovery.
In late 2020 Dave’s father contracted Covid-19 and due to pre-existing conditions, passed away in November 2020. While in Hospice care Dave and his family stayed with his father and during that stay Dave started drawing the flowers. While drawing he felt God’s peace and comfort, and it brought some joy to a stressful time. His father had a peaceful passing to his heavenly home and now Dave wants to share these drawings in hopes of bringing joy and a smile to all who see them.
Besides drawing “doodles”, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Sherrie, of nearly 40 years, his two daughters, Katelyn and Mikayla and three grandkids, Austin, Teigan and Shay. He also enjoys maintaining both flower and vegetable gardens, caring for his flock of laying hens and healthy cooking.
